The group was set up to bring together developers with a common interest in PHP and related technologies and to form a basis for effective PHP advocacy in Nepal.
It is a community site for people to get together and get to know one another. It is about community and friendship. If you consider yourself part of the PHP community, you are encouraged to take part!

Facebook officially announced a long-rumored project it has been working on called HipHop for PHP, a source code transformer application. According to the announcement, HipHop is a code transformer that turns PHP code into “highly optimized C++.” By using HipHop on their servers, Facebook has been able to reduce CPU usage by over 50%, and substantially increase the speed of their pages. Microsoft is set to move its Windows Azure cloud platform to a a commercial production stage. Microsoft is offering the full, production-ready version of Azure as of the PDC, adding capabilities such as variable virtual machine sizes to accommodate different-sized services. In this paper, Stefan Esser discuss the different protections an attacker faces in hardened PHP environments, after succeeded in executing arbitrary PHP code. He introduce new techniques to overcome most of them by the use of local PHP exploits. He demonstrate how info leak and memory corruption vulnerabilities can be combined to enable PHP applications to read and write arbitrary memory. He will show step by step how important memory structures can be leaked and manipulated in order to deactivate or overcome protections.
